CIC joins Google Book Search project. The national 12-university consortium called the Committee on Institutional Cooperation will digitize select collections across all its libraries as part of the Google Book Search project.

June 15-25, 2007
Lyman Briggs College. The Board of Trustees approved renaming the Lyman Briggs School of Science to Lyman Briggs College, making it MSU's 17th college. See the news release for more information.

June 26-July2, 2007
$125 million bioenergy initiative. MSU partners with the University of Wisconsin-Madison to establish the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center. Research will focus on converting natural materials to energy. See the special report.
